Why support Yellow Door?

Why support Yellow Door?

National data shows that at least 1 in 5 people will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, and around 20% of women and 4% of men will experience sexual violence.  We know that abuse can affect anyone including individuals, families, friends, and those in our community.

Make a donation today and help us to prevent and respond to domestic and sexual abuse. Your reason to give may be personal to you or those you care about, or it may be the issue of justice, equality or compassion that touches you.

There are many reasons why so many people choose to support Yellow Door and the work we do. We are grateful to everyone who donates to us and we are committed to ensuring as much of your donation as possible goes directly towards helping local people affected by abuse.

If you’re ready to make an online donation, please use the form below. You can make a one-off donation or contribute monthly to our work, as well as add Gift Aid at no extra cost.

Other ways to give

Cheque

Cheques can be made payable to Yellow Door and can be sent to our  address at 30 Brookvale Road, Portswood, Southampton, SO17 1QR. If you are eligible to add Gift Aid to your donation, please remember to complete and include a Gift Aid form with your cheque.

Regular Donation

Weekly, monthly, or even yearly donations in the form of standing orders are incredibly helpful to us – allowing us to forecast ahead and plan for our services. If you are interested in setting up a regular donation  you can do so through Give As You Live or by Standing Order. Please contact us at supportus@yellowdoor.org.uk or call us on 02380 636312 and ask for someone from the Fundraising Team.

Leave a gift in your Will

Plan for the future and consider gifting to Yellow Door through your Will. Yellow Door like many charities benefit hugely from legacy donations. If you want to remember a charity such as Yellow Door in your will, please take advice on how to do this – contact us, see gov.uk or speak to a solicitor (if you have one to draft your Will).

Donate Goods

If you’d like to help and would rather donate items instead of money,  please consider donating something from our Amazon Wish List. Items can be found here. If you would like to purchase items from other shops, please contact supportus@yellowdoor.org.uk to discuss this first and to arrange delivery.

Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is a way for employees of an organisation to opt to give a recurring donation through their pay each month before their income is taxed. This means if you give £1, we will receive £1.25 (basic rate tax payer) or £1.66 (higher rate tax). Ask your employer to enrol to the Give as You Earn (GAYE) scheme and tell them you’d like to donate to Yellow Door. You can cancel at any time. Find out more here.

“Our wonderful supporters make one-off & recurring donations and every single donation makes a difference. If you feel able to give a little each month, that is a fantastic way to support our work and helps to secure the future of our services”
