On 13th March 2026, Yellow Door attended the Office for Police and Crime Commissioner’s Award ceremony shining a spotlight on the dedication, passion, and selflessness of those who go above and beyond to keep our communities safe.
One of Yellow Door’s Volunteer Counsellors, Scott won the “Commissioned Service Volunteer of the Year” award. Scott has supported survivors of abuse at Yellow Door for over 3 years. Offering compassionate 1-1 therapy, helping people rebuild confidence and resilience. His support has been described as life-changing.
As a charity, volunteers are absolutely vital to Yellow Door’s work, and we are so grateful and proud to have Scott as part of our team. Well done Scott!
