We had a great day on March 23rd 2022 tidying our beautiful garden at Yellow Door.
With the support of volunteers and few members of staff, we were able to plant new flowers, herbs and even a tree! A number of volunteers cleared an area for us to grow a wild flower garden. We are excited to see it grow throughout the year.
One of our volunteers said, “I’ve been spending so much time stressing about university recently. Today was a good reminder that I need to spend more time outside enjoying nature”. We also spent time decorating plant pots (and eating snacks)! Thankfully we had lovely weather for it.
We were able to do this thanks to Southampton Voluntary Services Green City Community Grant! Thank you SVS!
One of our enthusiastic volunteers had such a great time; they wanted to come back every week!
