We were thrilled to receive over 50 fantastic entries for our STAR Mascot Competition, each one bursting with creativity, colour, and thoughtful design. The talent and imagination from all the young people who took part were truly inspiring!
Our judging panel was made up from our young people who attend our therapeutic groups at Yellow Door and they had a chance to look at all the entries and discuss who and why they had chosen their winner. After much deliberation, our judges selected the winning design “Fab”, created by a student from Banister Park Primary School. We loved this entry for its bright, welcoming appearance, warm character, and imaginative features that perfectly capture the spirit of the STAR Project.

We’ll be celebrating the winner in a special assembly, where they’ll receive their vouchers, certificate, and get to meet the real-life Fab, currently being stitched together as we speak!
We also want to give a huge congratulations to our runners-up from Newlands School, who shared fantastic and thoughtful ideas for what a STAR mascot could represent.

The winning school receives £150 in vouchers and runners-up receive £50 each. The children are encouraged to help the school decide how to spend their prizes.
