Walk for Yellow Door – Walk The Test Way

Walk The Test Way is an annual charity walking event in Romsey, covering sections of the Test Way path . The route passes through some of the most picturesque villages in Hampshire, strewn with listed buildings, historic churches and houses. The event offers multiple, fully marshalled distance options.

When: Start times between 7am-12.30pm Sunday 27th September 2026

Where: Walkers are taken by private coach from Romsey Centre to their starting location and will end the walk in Romsey’s Memorial Park where there’ll be a warm finish-line welcome and a medal!​

What are the distance options? 25.5 miles starting from St Mary Bourne • 16 miles starting from Wherwell • 11 miles starting from Stockbridge • 8 miles starting from Horsebridge • 5 miles starting from Mottisfont. You can view the route from last year’s document here.

How does it work? To Walk The Test Way and fundraise for Yellow Door, the organisers advise steps in this order:

• Set up a page on Just Giving here by clicking ‘Start Fundraising’ – Select “Rotary Club of Romsey Test Trust Fund” as the charity (they are the organisers and will distribute donations after the walk).

• Mention in your title ‘Walk the Test Way 2026 in aid of Yellow Door’ so they know you’re fundraising for us.

• Register for the event here – you will be asked during the process if you are fundraising for a charity, and for the link to your Just Giving page.

• Let us know you’re fundraising! And get in touch if you’d like to talk through by emailing supportus@yellowdoor.org.uk

Costs involved: For registrations between 1^st May-31st July, Adults cost £13, Under 18s cost £7.
After 31st July, Adults cost £16, Under 18s cost £9.

Fundraising targets: We ask fundraisers to aim for a £200 fundraising target, many people are pleasantly surprised at how generous their friends and family are. We can support you in setting up a fundraising page.
